Why our wine tour in Seville is so unique

Heading to Seville with a team or group of 15 to 55 people and looking for a unique wine experience in the Seville area? The bodega tour is absolutely top-notch: as authentic as it gets and incredibly tasty. Even if you’ve done a wine tour before, we highly recommend this one, as it’s undoubtedly different from all the rest. Here’s what a visit to the wineries around Sevilla looks like:

Stop 1: sherry, rum and a professional football player

Ever heard of jeréz? It’s the Spanish word for sherry. The area around Seville is full of small bodegas producing jeréz, ranging from bitter to syrupy sweet. We’ll visit one of the most famous ones, located just a 40-minute drive from Seville. In a charming, non-touristy village known for its wine production, we’ll explore and take in the scent of the centuries-old oak barrels, learn about the history and then, guided by former professional footballer Patricio Rubio Fernal—who once played alongside Cruyff's nephew at FC Barcelona and now runs his family’s winery—we’ll dive into a tasting. And not just a little sip! From bitter to sweet, we’ll try all the sherries, rums, and liqueurs this bodega has to offer. Buenos días!

Stop 2: entering the vineyards

On to the next stop, still within the same wine village. Now, we head into the sun, walking through the vineyards that offer sweeping views of the Huelva mountains. What a delight! We’ll learn how the grapes in this region withstand the extreme dryness, making them even sweeter. After this, an oasis of shade awaits us, where we’ll taste various white wines paired with tapas: jamón, queso, and a few other local treats. Pure bliss!

Stop 3: lunch next to the wine barrels

The hottest part of the day has arrived, and believe it or not, at this point, you'll be craving some cool relief. Plus, all that wine calls for a hearty Spanish lunch. No problem: between the wine barrels, in the cool bodega, you’ll take your seats at a long table where a top-notch Spanish lunch is served. Naturally, it's accompanied by the house wines, and for dessert, a local orange wine, infused with orange peel—something they have plenty of in this region. ¡Qué aproveche!
